Great tire Wore even Just hit the wear bars at 75,000 miles I did have a flat tire not a design fault just bad luck. Looking for new tires not great in the rain when down to the wear bars. Would recommend to anyone with small car
Really enjoyed the difference with this tire set. Noticeable gas consumption difference on the long drives (2hrs and up). And excellent water control, was driving fine through an EF1 Tornado down pour out by Calabogie, Ontario, on Sept 21, while other vehicles had to pull off the road due to not able to drive from the heavy amount of water on the road. Tires did well in this weather at 70kmph fine and even up to 90-100kmph on a straight stretch when vision improved, yet don't recommend above that speed due to poor vision from the down pour in that kind of weather.
After 25K the tires have still more than half the tread to the wear bars. There is a lot to be said for the R350 and its features, but this is a 6,000 lb vehicle. With interstate driving at 50+ mph in downpours, no issues with hydroplaning. On early rain traction, no issues. The same goes for dry pavement cornering. I have pushed them on mountain road "goat paths" and they stick. The tires these replaced were V rated Latitudes (great tires). By contrast, the Avid fuel economy is a little less and the wear is more advanced (I think the Avid V rated are softer-stickier) but comparable everywhere else for considerably less money. Not much snow experience with this tire. Slushy with ice and little accumulation they seemed fine, but I didn't push them.
I had these tires for 4 years and they are great! I'll buy them again when the time comes.
I'm right at 65,000 miles, had these for 4 years. I will need to replace them soon. I'll probably buy them again. They're great for gas mileage and dry weather. Here in Tennessee we get a ton of rain and these are ok driving in ice and rain. I've slipped a little stopping and starting on hills and cornering in the rain but as long as I keep that in mind they're a great tire.
Great tire for the price
Best all around tire I've ever put on my car. Put the same ones on my wife's car. An as the tires age the performance stays the same. Also a very quiet tire that also stays quiet as you put the miles on. Excellent tire.
Only got 33,000 miles off of tires warrantied for 65k. Disappointing.
Bought these tires because I was tired of slipping and sliding all over the place in the snow and ice. These tires immediately stopped all of that. Very happy with them from the start. Improved handling on wet and dry roads. Improved gas mileage and quieter ride. Everything about these tires is better than the OEM's that came with my car. Would absolutely buy again. Unless tread falls off after 15k miles. Just hope to get close to the warranty.
Has been a very good tire thus far.
Great tire for those on a budget. Holds corners nicely.
Great tires!!
Great mileage tire, would buy again.
I recommend these tires for cold weather winter conditions as very good all season tires that perform well in snow.
I love these tires, they are the best I ever bought.
After 60k miles these tires are wearing very nicely!
I have about 7,000 miles on these tires and believe this is the best set of tires I have owned. I have ordered a set for our 2011 Sienna van. Very quiet and smooth ride. Very satisfied with the performance in all weather - including snow in the north Georgia mountains.
My job requires me to travel 3 out of the 5 days, and this is the second time in two years I have had to replace tires. So far, these tires have been far better all the way around, especially with road noise.
These tires are way better than the Michelin Tires that I had bought before. I will definitely continue to buy Yokohama Tires.
great tires
These are the quietest tires I have had on this car. They are easy roll type. The tread is 12/32" deep not the normal 10/32" like most tires so they should last longer than 85K.
I have not driven them in snow yet.
These tires perform well on my Toyota Corolla. They are quiet and seem to be a good value for the price. Not sure if they will go the 85M miles stated, but will see.
I really like these, did not like the previous 2 other (brand) sets. I went for a 1500 mile trip a week after buying these. I told the dealer to recommend these to others and they have.
So far has not been a very good tire on wet roads and snowy conditions, which Yokohama's website says it is supposed to be good for, according to their specs for this tire. A cheaper Falken or off-brand tire seems to be better than this tire. On dry surfaces, this tire is good, but most tires perform well anyway. A few times I have felt the tires hydroplane and lose a good amount of steering control. I doubt this tire will get 85K in tread life. For a "top-shelf" tire, as I was told it was, I would not buy again.
Good tire so far. Nice ride, good wet traction.
Would buy these tires again.
A leader in the passenger car group does everything well !!
A great all around tire super quiet, excellent grip rain or shine I get 3-4 miles o the gallon better Anfpd pretty good in snow.
